Rufus was Essie Haynes Heaton's great grandfather. 04_richhayn - Sorry for the overdrawing of this and the next picture. The pictures were terribly faded, and someone tried to enhance the features by drawing over them. Middle row of adults at far left is Lydia Heaton Lord, and working to the right, on the other side of the two gentlemen, is Clarissa Heaton Lord. Back row: Bertier (Arch's wife), her father Mr. Stout, Mary Josephine Mandeville Heaton (Aunt Jo - Carl's mother), Arch Heaton, Helen Elizabeth (Betty) Heaton (Carl's daughter), and Warren Arch Heaton (Arch's son). 19_ross - This is the only early picture I have of Ross and Betty (Elizabeth Blanche Mott). Taken about 1915. 20_adrian2 - Adrian Heaton, taken about 1925. 21_edna - Edna Heaton Bowley and her husband Ralph, about 1925. "Aunt Edna" was the family historian and printed the Heaton/Quinlan genealogy booklet. 22_harry - Harry heaton and his wife Verna Ashton, 1909. Harry died in 1914 at age 37. 23_nelle - Nelle Heaton, about ?. Nelle married Roy Newfarmer, and more pictures of their family will be found in the Newfarmer section. 24_ross - Ross Heaton and daughter Barbara, taken about 1919. Now for the Roy Heaton family. Roy was my grandfather. 25_roy2 - Roy Charles Heaton, about 1915. 26_essie - Essie Haynes Heaton, Roy's wife, about 1923. 26b_essroy - Portrait of Roy and Essie Heaton, about 1945. 27_don5 - Donald Haynes Heaton, the first child, at West Point, about 1935. 28_muriel4 - Second child Muriel Jean Heaton, with her two sons about 1944. I try to sneak into the website whenever I can. I'm Jimmie, on the right. 29_gordon - Third child, Roy Gordon Heaton, about 1935. 30_elaine - Fourth child, Elaine Vivian Heaton, about 1940. 31_canoe2 - Roy Charles Heaton was always around boats, and he built them himself. I think the canoe picture was taken in Tacoma about 1915. 32_boat02 - When Roy got to Alabama, he and son Don built this sailboat, probably about 1935. 33_boat45 - Every member of Roy's family went sailing with him, including the grandkids. This one is of Roy with Muriel's kids, Jimmy and Jerry, on Wilson Lake in Alabama about 1945. 34_heafam - Roy Heaton's family in Tacoma about 1925.
