Death Calls 83-year-old Woodland Man
Following an illness of a week, James H. Farris, 83, a resident here for the last 26 years, died Friday evening. He was a native of Indiana.
When a boy Farris moved from the state of his birthplace with his parents and went to southern Oregon. Three years after settling in Oregon the family turned south and moved to California, where Farris has resided ever since.
For a number of years Farris engaged in ranching in Yolo, but ten years ago he retired from active pursuits. When stricken Farris was making his home in Woodland with Mrs. Frank Mumma, a cousin.
Farris leaves a brother, J. L. Farris of LosAngeles, a sister, Mrs. Emily Clayton of Oakland, a niece, Mrs. Edna Clayton Oree of Oakland and two nephews, Fred Farris of San Jose and Charles Farris of Oakland.
Arrangements for the funeral are being completed by the Krellenberg company.
